Housekeeping

Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.

  • Job Duties & Qualifications
    • Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors.
    • Sets up cleaning cart with supplies. Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
    • Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
    • Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls.
    • Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have a clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
    • Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by the previous guest, or is soiled or torn, to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
    • Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
    • Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
    • Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens.
    • Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle, and overhead shelves, and restocking the guest room supplies (e.g., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows).
    • Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways.
    • Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
    • Checks lights and remotes to ensure all are in working order.
    • Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    • Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
    • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
    • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
    • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

    Qualifications:

Front Desk

Shifts Morning (6am-2pm), Afternoon (2pm-10pm), Evening(10pm-6am)

Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. Responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, and ensuring the guests have a pleasant stay and smooth checkout.

    • Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
    • Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same-day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.
    • Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
    • Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms.
    • Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms.
    • Coordinates guest room maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division.
    • Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
    • Knows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
    • Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
    • Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Processes guest check-outs and handle monetary transactions.
    • Maintains customers’ privacy.
    • Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous hotel-related experience preferred.
    • Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
    • Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events.
    • Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. Able to properly secure guest information.
    • Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
    • Skilled in the use of front office equipment.
    • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Breakfast Attendant

A breakfast attendant prepares and heats up food, engages guests, and maintains food safety and sanitation standards. SHIFTS: Part-time positions available.

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18 or older.
    • Previous restaurant cooking experience required.
    • Ability to understand, read, and speak English.


    Qualifications:

    • Prior customer service experience preferred.
    • Ability to work long hours if needed.
    • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
    • Ability to multi-task.
